The terms for buying Little Desi's shloka books, story editions and courses, and for using your Library and the Shloka Player.

These terms apply when you visit littledesi.shop, place an order with us, or use your Library or the Shloka Player. By placing an order you agree to them, and to our Privacy Policy, Cancellation and Refunds and Shipping and Exchanges policies, which are part of these terms.

Placing an order
You need to be 18 or over to place an order. Our books, story editions and courses are made for children, so a parent or guardian buys them. Please give a correct email, phone number and address at checkout. We use them to deliver your order and to send you your order page by email and WhatsApp.
An order is confirmed once your payment succeeds. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if we cannot deliver to your address. If we do, we refund what you paid in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Indian rupees (INR) in India and in US dollars (USD) elsewhere, depending on where you shop from. The price of a book includes shipping. Any GST due is shown at checkout before you pay, and your GST invoice is on your order page. Customs duties on orders shipped outside India are covered in our Shipping and Exchanges policy.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never receive your full card or bank details.
Books
Books are shipped to the address you give at checkout. Delivery times, tracking, and what happens if a book arrives damaged are covered in our Shipping and Exchanges policy.
Story editions and courses
A story edition or course you buy gives the email address on your order lifetime access to it in your Library. Lifetime means for as long as Little Desi runs the Library. You do not need an account to buy. To open your Library, sign in with that email and the six-digit code we send to it. There is no password to remember.
Your purchase gives you a personal licence to watch, listen to and use the story editions and courses with your own family, and to print their printables for home use. You may not share your sign-in, or copy, record, upload, resell or publicly show any of it, including in a class or school, without our written permission. A licence for such use is sold separately: write to support@littledesi.shop to buy one. Access belongs to the email on the order and cannot be transferred. If a payment is reversed, access to what it bought ends. Some episodes are free previews that anyone can open.
Shloka Player
The Shloka Player comes free with our shloka books. It runs in your browser and needs no account. It has no separate price, and we may update or change it. The same personal-use terms apply to it.
Our content
The illustrations, recordings, videos, meanings, transliterations and text in our books, story editions, courses, the Shloka Player and this website belong to Little Desi or to the people who license them to us, and are protected by copyright. The shlokas themselves are traditional, but our versions of them are not free to copy.
Using the website
Please use the website as it is meant to be used, and don’t try to interfere with how it works.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products, and our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. This does not affect your right to approach a consumer commission.
Grievances
If something has gone wrong, write to support@littledesi.shop or message us on WhatsApp at +91 90192 01988. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month.
